Glip Wants You to Hear What It's Saying About Collaboration

Glip has wasted no time making news in 2015. It’s also wasted little time calling out competitors.

The Boca Raton, Fla.-based vendor released version 2 of its enterprise collaboration software platform last month. Today, Joomla, an open source content management system powerhouse, signed on to use the Glip platform.

Meanwhile, Glip CEO Peter Pezaris, in an interview with CMSWire, called out at least six competitors as inferior.

"Hall, HipChat and Slack are all cool messaging apps," Pezaris told CMSWire. "But Slack solves one problem — it replaces email."

Pezaris also cited Basecamp, Asana and Trello as "cloud-based project management solutions" that are "universally pretty poor at messaging."

"Some of them have some sort of built-in message board but you never consider them as a replacement for how you communicate with co-workers," he added.
